Last weekend a friend went to France for work and happened to pick up a substantial amount of booze en-route as he went on the ferry. I duly placed an order for wine with him and it has now arrived. So instead of the normal 10 - 12 bottles of wine that I usually have in my house I now have a grand total of 33 bottles of wine and two 10-litre boxes of wine including some Saumur, Muscadet, Vouvray, Crozes Hermitage, Châteauneuf du Pape and five bottles of Champagne (a woman can never have too much Champagne in my humble opinion). Either I'm on my way to becoming the next Oz Clarke or a rip-roaring alcoholic - time will tell, meanwhile where's the corkscrew?...........

I'd say you're not an alcoholic if you invite your friends to a nice wine tasting sessions. And maybe new internet acquaintances, too. ;-)

I think this makes you a grown up. I rarely have more than the bottle that's currently open in my house!
Cat, that's it - 30 odd bottles of vino make you a grown-up - not the impending 35th birthday :-(!
Alcohol is considered as curse of our nation. Government have to conduct rehabilitation program to create awareness among the people. To recover from addiction one have to consult doctor and should under go further treatments.
