An 80 year old woman was arrested for shop lifting. When she went before the judge he asked her, "What did you steal?" She replied: "a can of peaches". The judge asked her why she had stolen them and she replied that she was hungry. The judge then asked her how many peaches were in the can. She replied 6. The judge then said, "I will give you 6 days in jail." Before the judge could actually pronounce the punishment the woman's husband spoke up and asked the judge if he could say something. He said, "What is it?" The husband said "She also stole a can of peas."
Well, I've finally made it back to the blogosphere; a lot has been happening and haven't been able to get near this blog for the last week. Just made it back to say I may have to take a sabbatical of a week or so from blogging, for a number of reasons, which I won't go into now. Trust me, I'll be back as soon as I can. Meanwhile, at least new features (daily cartoon, thought for the day and interesting facts) which I've placed on the blog will be updating each day.
BTW: Best of luck to all those nominated for the Irish Blog Awards - our Irish Bloggerati!! Hope all attending have a fantastic night - keep me updated on the craic JL, Redmum, Paige, Omani & Kaz et al! Wish I could be there but I'm sure ye'll have a gin & tonic or two anyway!

Twenty Major swept the boards CurlyK, as expected. He sent a 'representative' to pick up the awards...but I have my suspicions that it was the great man himself! Was a great night, good to put faces to the names...though I'm ashamed to say I talked to a few people (JL, Sinead, Colm from In Fact Ah, Ginger Pixel, Slugger, Red Mum, Letters from America, Maman Poulet) kinda before the awards, then had a couple of drinks after and slunk off for a pizza...so didn't do a lot of mingling. There's always next year though, hope to see you there!
I hope everything is going OK at your end and you'll update when you are ready.

Good luck with whatever it is that takes you off. You are not the only one who wasn't at the Awards. I sent along a representative but I forget his name and I don't know what happened to him. He was briefed to stay only as long as JL P, but not to follow him home. Trouble is he hasn't been seen since.
I love that joke. Where did I hear it recently.
Next time I go off, I think I'll hand my blog over to someone who can be a guest author. Would you like that idea?
